The doctors say to stop drinking coffee, but what with other caffeinated drinks? Here is what is safe for you.
No matter if your favorite drink is coffee, energy drink, tea or diet coke you would need one or five cups from something to keep you awake all night. But, because now you eat and drink for two, importing stimulates in your metabolism may be uncomfortable. Caffeine might be a problem if it is inserted in the metabolism in high quantities. It is known that many researchers have shown that caffeine passes the placenta and the week metabolism of the fetus can’t deal properly with that amount of caffeine.
Many experts recommend importing caffeine in an amount less than 200 mg. This is more caffeine than a regular cup. But in those 200 mg are just an estimate. There are no exact data that show that this amount is perfectly safe and that 300 mg caffeine daily is dangerous. This is data from tests done on animals. Researches done on humans are not the same with the previous ones.
Should you stop drinking caffeine during pregnancy?
Researches don’t support this. There are no mothers that would undergo to testing their unborn children. There is always somebody seeking for culprit. If a woman experiences miscarriage it blames the caffeine. Others who want to be represented as perfect mothers do not confess that they have exaggerated with caffeine.
With so many contradictions what a pregnant woman should do? Consult your doctor and make your best estimate. If you want to be part of those women who want to be safe, stick with the recommended dose of less than 200 mg a day which is equal to four diet cokes, three cups green tea or one big mocha.
Are tea and fuzzy drinks OK for consummation?
You will have to stay away from big coffees for your children’s sake. The short advice is: nothing more than one caffeinated drink a day. Two only in exceptional cases!
